Porto Carras bring with them a range of wine from the historic slopes of Mt Meliton in northern Greece.

Porto Carras and Naoussa Greek wine producers are looking for Australian distributors.

Naoussa and Porto Carras Greek wine producers are in Sydney, bringing with them 14 different Naoussa wines from ten different producers to present to Australian wine lovers.

President of the Naoussa Wine association, Apostolos Thymiopoulos, president of VAENI CO_OP Georgios Fountoulis and Dimitrios Taralas of ELINOS will showcase the very best of Greek wine production and also aim to network and find Australian distributors for those who are unrepresented in Australia.

The typical Xynomavro wines of Naoussa are full-bodied, noted for their savoury character as well as the high acidity and tannic structure that allow them to age gracefully.

Porto Carras are also one of the producers that are joining in with a range of wine from the historic slopes of Mt Meliton in northern Greece. The hilly areas in the region create excellent ecological conditions for cultivating the 22 select varieties that thrive on the south-western slopes, like Asyrtiko, Malagouzia, Rhoditis varieties and other.

Malagouzia, an almost extinct variety and one of the most ancient white varieties of the world, was revived at Domaine Porto Carras.

Wineries on taste will be Porto Carras, VAENI, Chrisohoou Estate, Dalamara, Elinos Winery, Diamantakou, Foundi, Kelesidis, Kokkinos, Kir Yianni and Thymiopoulos Vineyards.
