THREE Australian officials including Angus Houston are visting the MH17 crash site for the first time today after Tony Abbott said 50 AFP officers were on stand-by to go to Ukraine.
Mr Abbott announced his plans for Australian police to secure the crash site after he had a private conversation with Russia’s leader Valdimir Putin again.
The Prime Minister said he wanted them deployed to Ukraine “as quickly as possible” so investigators ould safely and thoroughly conduct their investigation of the site and find remains left there before they deteriorate any further.
This comes as MH17 victims’ stolen credit cards and phones have also been used, “destroying” grieving families.
Air-crash investigators in the UK, which has taken possession of the Malaysia Airlines aircraft’s two flight data recorders, are still focusing their efforts on whether or not the second “black box” contains any useful information. New concerns have been expressed that much of the evidence at the crash scene has been “tampered with”, as more bodies are set to arrive in the Netherlands.
