Με  το ντέρμπι κορυφής της εξ αναβολής 6ης αγωνιστικής ανάμεσα στον Ολυμπιακό και τον ΠΑΟΚ συνεχίζεται το πρωτάθλημα της Σούπερ Λιγκ την Τετάρτη (19:30) και όπως είναι λογικό, η αναμέτρηση στο «Γεώργιος Καραϊσκάκης» κλέβει το ενδιαφέρον. «Ντόπες» Μαρινάκη στο Λιμάνι και εκπλήξεις Μίτσελ στην αποστολή. Με Κλάους, Τζιόλη, αλλά χωρίς Τζαβέλλα και Μακ ο «Δικέφαλος».

Ο πρωτοπόρος ΠΑΟΚ (+2 βαθμούς) έχει την πολυτέλεια να παίξει για δύο αποτελέσματα, αφού και με ισοπαλία θα παραμείνει επικεφαλής στην βαθμολογία, ενώ οι Πειραιώτες θέλουν μόνο τη νίκη, για να προσπεράσουν.

Αμφίρροπη αναμένεται η αναμέτρηση του Ατρομήτου με την Βέροια, ελαφρύ προβάδισμα, κυρίως λόγω έδρας, έχει ο ΠΑΣ Γιάννινα που υποδέχεται τον Λεβαδειακό, ενώ χωρίς ξεκάθαρο φαβορί θα γίνουν οι αναμετρήσεις Πανθρακικός – Πλατανιάς, Κέρκυρα – Πανιώνιος και Ξάνθη – Καλλονή.

Την Πέμπτη, ο Παναθηναϊκός δοκιμάζεται στο Αγρίνιο από τον Παναιτωλικό, που είναι ικανός να κάνει «ζημιά» σε οποιαδήποτε ομάδα. Την ίδια ημέρα, ο Αστέρας Τρίπολης είναι το φαβορί στον εκτός έδρας αγώνα με την ουραγό, Νίκη Βόλου, ενώ ανοιχτό είναι και το ντέρμπι του Ηρακλείου ανάμεσα στον ΟΦΗ και τον Εργοτέλης.

Τέσσερις σερί νίκες συμπλήρωσε η Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ του Λουϊς Φαν Γκάαλ, επικρατώντας 2-1 της Στόουκ με τον Χουάν Μάτα να λύνει το… γόρδιο δεσμό διαμορφώνοντας το τελικό στο στο 59′, αλλά τη Στόουκ να χάνει δύο απίστευτες ευκαιρίες στις καθυστερήσεις.

Η Γουέστ Χαμ συνεχίζει να εκπλήσσει και παραμένει στην πέμπτη θέση μετά το σπουδαίο «διπλό» (2-1) στην έδρα της Γουέστ Μπρομ, ενώ «σημεία ζωής» έδωσε η Λίβερπουλ περνώντας με νίκη 3-1 επί της Λέστερ από το «Κινγκ Πάουερ».

Juan Mata scored the winner as Manchester United secured a fourth successive Barclays Premier League triumph with a 2-1 victory against Stoke City.

Mata’s second-half free-kick evaded everybody and flew into the corner to help the hosts earn the spoils after Steven N’Zonzi had cancelled out Marouane Fellaini’s header at Old Trafford. United headed into the match brimming with confidence having risen to fourth in the table, despite a sluggish start to life under Louis van Gaal. And some fine early play was rewarded when Fellaini headed in a first-half opener from Ander Herrera’s cross for his first goal for the club at Old Trafford.

Stoke responded well and found a way back into the match thanks to a stunning strike from Steven N’Zonzi six minutes before half-time. However, United regrouped on the restart and grabbed three points thanks to Mata’s intervention – albeit after surviving late scares as Mame Biram Diouf twice almost thwarted his former club.

Steven Gerrard marked his return to the starting line-up with a goal as Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners against 10-man Leicester City. The Foxes took a 22nd-minute lead when Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet scored an unfortunate own goal. Adam Lallana soon restored parity and Brendan Rodgers’ side were ahead when Gerrard, left out of the starting XI against Stoke City last Saturday, made no mistake with a calm finish after 54 minutes.

Bottom club Leicester were reduced in numbers when captain Wes Morgan was sent off for a professional foul on Rickie Lambert. And Jordan Henderson converted from close range after a mistake by Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel to ensure Liverpool made it back-to-back top-flight wins for only the second time this season.

West Ham United showed great resolve to win 2-1 at West Bromwich Albion to continue their excellent start to the season. The hosts burst out of the blocks at The Hawthorns and took a deserved lead thanks to Craig Dawson’s powerful 10th-minute header. But West Ham bounced back as captain Kevin Nolan nodded in the equaliser after 35 minutes. Defender James Tomkins then scored a header of his own on the stroke of half-time and the Hammers held on to remain fifth, one point below Manchester United, after their fifth win in eight matches.

Late goals from Ki Sung-yueng and Wayne Routledge ensured Swansea City beat Queens Park Rangers 2-0 to prolong the London club’s wait for an away point. Goalkeeper Robert Green had produced a string of saves to deny the Welsh side, but Ki struck 12 minutes from time with a clinical left-foot finish before Routledge added a second to ensure Garry Monk’s side moved into the top six, while Rangers remain in the relegation zone following their latest away loss.

Christian Benteke returned from a three-match ban to score the winning goal as Aston Villa earned a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace. The Belgium international was immediately restored to Villa’s starting XI after serving a suspension for a red card in a 2-1 loss against Tottenham Hotspur last month. And he broke the deadlock with a composed finish in the first half to help Paul Lambert’s men end a nine-match winless run in the top flight.

Burnley marked manager Sean Dyche’s 100th match in charge by moving out of the bottom three after extending their unbeaten run to four matches with a 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle United. It had looked as if last season’s Championship runners-up would claim all three points when midfielder George Boyd’s vicious effort gave them the lead in the 34th minute. But Newcastle fought back to earn a share of the spoils with Senegal striker Papiss Cisse converting Daryl Janmaat’s cross.

Leicester City’s Marcin Wasilewski and Liverpool’s Rickie Lambert

Leicester City remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League after another night of woe for Nigel Pearson’s men. 

City had captain Wes Morgan sent off as Liverpool inflicted more misery on Pearson and his troops, who have now picked up just two points from their last nine games.

City may have thought their luck had changed when Leonardo Ulloa’s shot struck the post and went in off keeper Simon Mignolet in the first half and the game remained in the balance after Adam Lallana’s equaliser.

But poor defending gifted a Liverpool second for Steven Gerrard, who rested at the weekend for this game, and 10 minutes later Morgan was shown a straight red card for denying Rickie Lambert a goalscoring opportunity.

Jordan Henderson completed the comeback for the visitors s City suffered only their second defeat of the season on home soil.

City seemed up for the clash from the first whistle and the game was being played at a frantic pace.

It was clear from the outset that Liverpool’s major threat was going to come on both flanks, with Raheem Sterling and Lallana giving Ritchie De Laet and Paul Konchesky torrid times respectively.

At the other end, Ulloa was proving a handful for the Reds’ defence, while Jamie Vardy’s typically energetic running was a great outlet for City.

Although there was a hint of a lack of confidence in front of goal from City’s No.9.

As early as the ninth minute, Ulloa’s brilliant ball set him up one against one with Kolo Toure but Vardy snatched at his shot from long-range and dragged it harmlessly wide.

City were causing themselves problems by squandering possession in poor areas and allowing Liverpool to launch counter-attacks utilising the pace of Sterling and Lallana.

But the visitors almost shot themselves in the foot in the 20th minute when keeper Simon Mignolet’s attempted pass to Martin Skrtel presented Esteban Cambiasso with an open goal.

Of all the men on the pitch, City would have wanted the chance to fall to it was the experienced Argentine, who was superb throughout the first half, but his first time effort from 30 yards out drifted agonisingly wide.

They say you shouldn’t look a gifthorse in the mouth, but Cambiasso took a long hard stare down its throat.

The fear was that, as has been the case so often of late, City would be punished, but they finally got a stroke of luck a minute later.

Riyad Mahrez played a delightful ball in for Vardy behind the Reds’ defence and, after his effort was eventually cleared off the line by Skrtel, Ulloa picked up the loose ball and his shot from a tight angle rebounded off the foot of the post and went in off the back of Mignolet.

But City’s tendency to switch off defensively came back to haunt them five minutes later for Liverpool’s equaliser.

City had cleared a Steven Gerrard free-kick but Lucas clipped the ball back into the box for Rickie Lambert and his nod down was slammed home by Lallana, who had stole in beyond Konchesky.

The second half continued in similar fashion with both sides probing for the breakthrough and City were playing some decent stuff but once again they were given another reminder how unforgiving the Premier League is, when Sterling’s low cross in the 53^rd minute was only nudged to the edge of the box by Wes Morgan and Gerrard hammered home the loose ball.

It couldn’t have been served up on a plate any more invitingly for the former England captain.

Morgan’s night got worse in the 63^rd minute when he miscontrolled a back pass under pressure from Lambert and as the Liverpool striker was set to race clear Morgan pulled him back, leaving referee Lee Mason no choice but to show him the red card.

There was some good fortune for City as Kasper Schmeichel survived a penalty appeal for a challenge on Gerrard but, almost immediately, Lady Luck turned her back on City, as Cambiasso’s goal-bound shot struck team-mate Vardy and deflected wide of the post.

Then Vardy had a volley from the edge of the box deflected just wide. The agony was almost too much to bear.

City were soon put out of their misery as the third goal came in the 84^th minute, when Marcin Wasilewski’s attempted intervention to stop a Gerrard’s cross deflected to Sterling and he teed up Jordan Henderson, unmarked, to end City’s hopes.

Ο Παναθηναϊκός «τρέχει» ένα σερί τριών συνεχόμενων νικών στο πρωτάθλημα της Super League, ενώ μπροστά του έχει τον δύσκολο εκτός έδρας αγώνα με τον Παναιτωλικό, όπου πάντως θα προσπαθήσει να κατακτήσει ακόμα ένα «τρίποντο».

Ο προπονητής των «πράσινων», Γιάννης Αναστασίου μίλησε στην κάμερα του συνδρομητικού καναλιού για το ματς κόντρα στους Αγρινιώτες, εκφράζοντας, μεταξύ άλλων, την πεποίθησή του, πως αν η ομάδα του εμφανιστεί όπως πρέπει, τότε θα πάρει και τη νίκη.

Αναλυτικά όσα δήλωσε στη NOVA ο τεχνικός του «τριφυλλιού»:

Για το ματς με τη Βέροια: «Πάντα σε ένα ματς υπάρχουν πράγματα ευχάριστα από την ομάδα και πράγματα που δεν λειτουργούν όπως πρέπει. Στο συγκεκριμένο παιχνίδι είχαμε πάρα πολλά θετικά. Το μόνο ίσως αρνητικό ήταν ότι δεχτήκαμε ένα άσχημο γκολ και είναι καθαρά θέμα συγκέντρωσης το να βελτιωθεί αυτό. Αυτά τα λάθη μας κόστισαν αρκετά στην Ευρώπη, στο Πρωτάθλημα όχι τόσο αλλά στα μεγάλα παιχνίδια θα πρέπει να είμαστε έτοιμοι και προσεκτικοί».

Για το αν ανεβαίνει επίπεδο η ομάδα με τον Μπεργκ: «Έκανε μέτριο παιχνίδι για τα δεδομένα του, τον έχουμε δει καλύτερο, αλλά σαν ομάδα ήμασταν αρκετά καλοί. Είναι παίκτης που δίνει άλλη ώθηση στην ομάδα και από πλευράς ψυχολογίας, αλλά το καλό είναι ότι έχουμε αρκετούς παίκτες που μπορούμε να υπολογίζουμε. Η ομάδα έχει βάθος και ενόψει της συνέχειας στόχος είναι να παρουσιαζόμαστε είτε με τον Μπεργκ είτε χωρίς τον Μπεργκ το ίδιο δυνατοί και να παίρνουμε τα αποτελέσματα που θέλουμε».

Για τα ματς με Παναιτωλικό: «Δεν θα έλεγα ότι σε αυτά τα δυο ματς θα κριθούν τόσα πολλά πράγματα αλλά θέλουμε να συνεχίσουμε το νικηφόρο σερί μας απέναντι στον Παναιτωλικό που είχαμε χάσει πέρσι στην έδρα του. Είναι διαφορετικός στο γήπεδό του, ο κύριος Χάβος κάνει καλή δουλειά. Εμείς έχουμε δείξει ότι σε οποιαδήποτε έδρα κοιτάζουμε τον αντίπαλο στα μάτια και θέλω να πιστεύω ότι κάνοντας τα σωστά πράγματα θα χαμογελάσουμε εμείς στο τέλος».

Για τις σφιχτές άμυνες που έχει βρει στο δρόμο του ο Παναθηναϊκός: «Πάντα υπάρχουν λύσεις. Ο Παναιτωλικός παίζει στην έδρα του, δε νομίζω ότι θα παίξει σφιχτά. Και στο Κύπελλο που ήρθε στη Λεωφόρο έπαιξε ανοιχτά οπότε είναι ομάδα που θέλει να παίξει ποδόσφαιρο όπως εμείς».

Για το αν θα ξεκουραστεί ξανά ο Σίλντενφελντ: «Υπάρχει βάθος στην ομάδα. Πολλά παιδιά δείχνουν ότι μπορούν να ανταπεξέλθουν στις απαιτήσεις της ομάδας. Είναι σημαντικό το ότι έχουμε δύσκολα ματς σε μικρό χρονικό διάστημα. Με την ένταση που θέλουμε να παίζουμε είναι σημαντικό να είναι φρέσκοι οι παίκτες μου. Σε κάθε ματς προσπαθούμε να ξεκουράσουμε κάποιους παίκτες ώστε να υπάρχει καλός αγωνιστικός ρυθμός. Οι ανάσες είναι σημαντικές για όλους τους παίκτες όπως και σημαντικό είναι αυτοί που θα μπουν για να δώσουν ανάσες να δείξουν πως καλύπτουν καλά το κενό όσων ξεκουράζονται».

Τη δική του εκτίμηση για το ντέρμπι κορυφής ανάμεσα στον ΠΑΟΚ και τον Ολυμπιακό την Τετάρτη (3/12, 19:30) στο Καραϊσκάκη, έδωσε ο τεχνικός του Δικεφάλου, Αγγελος Αναστασιάδης, μιλώντας στην κάμερα της Nova. Λίγο πριν από την «καυτή» αναμέτρηση που έρχεται στην εμβόλιμη 6η αγωνιστική της Σούπερ Λιγκ, ο έμπειρος Μακεδόνας προπονητής δεν έκρυψε ότι ο η ομάδα του είναι το αουτσάιντερ:

«Ο Ολυμπιακός είναι μία ομάδα που είναι το φαβορί επειδή παίζει στην έδρα του, αφού κι εμείς αν παίζαμε στην έδρα μας θα ήμασταν το φαβορί για τη νίκη. Αυτή τη στιγμή φαβορί λοιπόν είναι ο Ολυμπιακός».

Για τα δεδομένα λίγο πριν από τον αγώνα: «Πρώτον ο Ολυμπιακός έχει πολύ καλή ομάδα. Δεύτερον εμείς έχουμε πολλά προβλήματα, με τραυματισμούς, με κάποια παιδιά που έχουν αρκετή κόπωση και από το παιχνίδι της Κυριακής, επειδή είχαμε μικρό χρονικό διάστημα να παίξουμε ένα παιχνίδι με τον Πανθρακικό, συν ότι η ομάδα υπερέβαλε δυνάμεις και εαυτόν για να πάρει με τον Πανθρακικό ένα καλό αποτέλεσμα, δεν είχαμε δηλαδή ένα εύκολο απόγευμα. Όλα αυτά κάνουν ακόμα πιο δύσκολη την προσπάθειά μας για το συγκεκριμένο παιχνίδι».

Για το εάν είναι το πιο σημαντικό ματς της χρονιάς για τον ΠΑΟΚ: «Παίζουμε με μία ομάδα που τα τελευταία πολλά χρόνια πρωταγωνιστεί στο πρωτάθλημα. Αλίμονο στον καθένα από εμάς που θα πετάει στα σύννεφα και θα πει διάφορα. και πρέπει κι εμείς να πάμε όσο πιο καλά προετοιμασμένοι γίνεται, αλλά δεν θα τρελαθούμε κιόλας…».

Ο τεχνικός του ΠΑΟΚ απέφυγε να σταθεί στα σημεία που θα κρίνουν το ντέρμπι, ενώ τέλος έκανε το δικό του σχόλιο για τον προπονητή του Ολυμπιακού (σ.σ. σε απάντηση της δήλωσης του Ισπανού για τον Μακεδόνα κόουτς):

«Δεν περίμενα να μιλήσω για τον Μίτσελ τώρα. Είχα πει πριν από ενάμιση χρόνο, όταν τότε έγραφαν κάποιοι ότι θα πρέπει να φύγει από τον Ολυμπιακό, ότι πρόκειται για έναν πολύ καλό προπονητή και ότι πρέπει να τον αφήσουν να δουλέψει. Είπα τότε μη βιαστείτε, και περιμένετε να δείτε τα αποτελέσματα. Όντως είναι ένας πολύ καλός προπονητής και πλέον τα αποτελέσματα της δουλειάς του μιλάνε από μόνα τους. Μιλάνε τα έργα, δεν μιλάει ο ίδιος».
