Search continues for NSW teacher’s body

NSW Police continue a search for the body of Stephanie Scott who was allegedly murdered by a school cleaner.

Police will continue a search in the NSW Riverina region for the body of teacher Stephanie Scott, who was allegedly murdered by a school cleaner.

Vincent Stanford was charged with murder on Thursday, four days after Stephanie Scott was last seen at her workplace, Leeton High School.

Stanford, 24, worked as a cleaner at the school.

The front gate has since turned into a shrine for Ms Scott with yellow balloons, ribbons and messages covering the fence.

On Thursday night, her parents, the fiance she was due to marry on the weekend and her siblings visited the memorial.

Despite Stanford’s arrest, police are still searching for Ms Scott’s body.

Officers allegedly found images of a burnt body on a camera in Stanford’s car at his Leeton home on Wednesday.

Police spent Thursday combing through his home, which he shares with family, taking away bags with evidence.

They also searched a vineyard on the outskirts of town, after finding Ms Scott’s red Mazda 3 on a nearby rural property.

Investigators want to hear from anyone who saw Stanford’s white Toyota Hilux dual cab around the Leeton area on Easter Sunday.
