Sydney Greek Festival

Sydney Greek Festival

The Festival is a cultural celebration of Greek-Australian lifestyle, culture and heritage however its appeal is much broader reflecting the rich and diverse multicultural nature of Australia and it has evolved into the most prestigious and important Greek-Australian community event in NSW.

The Greek Festival of Sydney 2015 will be celebrating its 33rd year and we are looking for stand-out applications to be included in the 2015 Greek Festival cultural program.

Since its inception, the festival has seen a vast increase in the diversity of the program of events, largely due to the emergence of second and third generation Greek Australians within the Australian artistic and cultural scene. One of the primary aims of the GOC is to not only meet its members’ cultural and artistic aspirations but to showcase the very best of Greek and Greek-Australian Culture to a wide audience.

Greek culture is becoming more and more entrenched in contemporary and mainstream Australian culture and the festival is committed to recognition of this through its program of events.

When: 14-15 February 2015

Where: The main festival will take place at Darling Harbour and will be followed by numerous cultural events at various venues throughout Sydney.
