Sydney’s resident seal has returned home and is wowing locals and tourists alike near the Opera House.

Making the most of the sunshine that has managed to crack through overcast skies in the city, the seal – believed to be a New Zealand fur – was today spending a leisurely few hours in the harbour city.

Split between sunbaking and taking a dip, the seal appeared to enjoy the attention his regular visits attract.

Obviously enjoying one of the best backdrops in the country, the seal was last seen in the same spot in early October when he happily entertained the crowds.

Last year harbour rangers said the friendly visitor wasn’t troubled at all and was simply enjoying some well-earned R&R.
