Η εικόνα της πρόθεσης ψήφου στη δημοσκόπηση της GPO για το Mega

Προβάδισμα του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ έναντι της Νέας Δημοκρατίας καταγράφουν νέες δημοσκοπήσεις, οι οποίες είδαν το φως της δημοσιότητας την Τετάρτη. Ποιο είναι τρίτο κόμμα, σύμφωνα με τις μετρήσεις, ποια κόμματα βρίσκονται δημοσκοπικά στα όρια για την είσοδό τους στη Βουλή.

Σύμφωνα με δημοσκόπηση της GPO για το κεντρικό δελτίο ειδήσεων του MEGA, η οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε το διάστημα 5-7 Ιανουαρίου, το προβάδισμα του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ έναντι της ΝΔ ανέρχεται σε 3,2 ποσοστιαίες μονάδες.

Ειδικότερα, στην πρόθεση ψήφου τα ποσοστά που λαμβάνουν τα κόμματα έχουν ως εξής: ΣΥΡΙΖΑ 28,5%, ΝΔ 25,3%, Ποτάμι 5,8%, ΚΚΕ 5,7%, Χρυσή Αυγή 5,4%, ΠΑΣΟΚ 5%, ΑΝΕΛ 2,7%, Κίνημα Δημοκρατών Σοσιαλιστών 2,6%, ΛΑΟΣ 2%, ΑΝΤΑΡΣΥΑ 1%, Άλλο Κόμμα 2%, Λευκό/Ακυρο 0,9% Αναποφάσιστοι 13,1%.

Το 17,5% των ερωτηθέντων δηλώνουν πως δεν είναι σίγουροι τώρα για την ψήφο τους και το 13,5% δηλώνουν ότι θα αποφασίσουν την τελευταία εβδομάδα ή και την τελευταία ημέρα πριν από τις εκλογές, γεγονός που μαρτυρά πόσο ρευστό είναι το πολιτικό σκηνικό.

Καταλληλότερος πρωθυπουργός θεωρείται ο Αντώνης Σαμαράς καθώς συγκεντρώνει ποσοστό 40,3%, ενώ ο Αλέξης Τσίπρας λαμβάνει 34,9%. “Κανένας από τους δύο” απαντά το 23,5% των ερωτηθέντων.

Στην ερώτηση εάν θεωρούν ότι η χώρα μας πρέπει να παραμείνει πάση θυσία στην Ευρωζώνη, θετικά (ναι και μάλλον ναι) απαντά το 75,7% των ερωτηθέντων και αρνητικά (όχι και μάλλον όχι) το 22,3% των ερωτηθέντων. Δεν ξέρω/Δεν απαντώ δηλώνει το 2%.

Στην ίδια ερώτηση, οι ψηφοφόροι της ΝΔ απαντούν θετικά (ναι και μάλλον ναι) σε ποσοστό 95,2% και αρνητικά (όχι και μάλλον όχι) σε ποσοστό 4,4%, ενώ οι ψηφοφόροι του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ απαντούν θετικά (ναι και μάλλον ναι) σε ποσοστό 66% και αρνητικά (όχι και μάλλον όχι) σε ποσοστό 30%.

Στην ερώτηση εάν πιστεύουν ότι ο κίνδυνος να βγει η Ελλάδα από την Ευρωζώνη έχει περάσει οριστικά, η πλειονότητα των ερωτηθέντων, ποσοστό 59,2%, απαντά αρνητικά (όχι και μάλλον όχι). Για το 35,4% των ερωτηθέντων ο κίνδυνος έχει περάσει οριστικά, ενώ “Δεν ξέρω/Δεν απαντώ” δηλώνει το 5,4%.

Στην ερώτηση “τι πιστεύετε ότι πρέπει να κάνει η επόμενη κυβέρνηση σε σχέση με το χρέος;”, οι συμμετέχοντες στην έρευνα απαντούν:

• Να κάνει νέα διαπραγμάτευση και νέα συμφωνία: 53,7%
• Να προχωρήσει σε μονομερή διαγραφή του χρέους: 20,5%
• Να ζητήσει την παράταση της σημερινής συμφωνίας: 12,6%
• Να αναζητήσει δάνειο από άλλες χώρες: 7,1%
• Δεν ξέρω/Δεν απαντώ: 6,1%

Όταν ερωτώνται τι πιστεύουν στην περίπτωση που η ελληνική κυβέρνηση έρθει σε ρήξη με τους εταίρους, το 52,6% των πολιτών δηλώνει ότι πιστεύει πως οι εταίροι μας θα αναγκαστούν να υποχωρήσουν και το 36,1% ότι οι εταίροι μας θα οδηγήσουν την Ελλάδα εκτός Ευρωζώνης. “Δεν ξέρω/Δεν απαντώ” δηλώνει το 11,3%.

Ποσοστό 43,4% των ερωτηθέντων δηλώνουν ότι θέλουν η κυβέρνηση που θα προκύψει από τις εκλογές να είναι του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ (ή με κορμό τον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ) και ποσοστό 40,5% να είναι της ΝΔ (ή με κορμό της ΝΔ). “Δεν ξέρω/Δεν απαντώ” δηλώνει το 16,1% των ερωτηθέντων.

Η συσπείρωση της ΝΔ αγγίζει το 81,5%, ενώ η συσπείρωση του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ είναι στο 85,4%.

Όταν ερωτώνται πώς κρίνουν την απόφαση του Γιώργου Παπανδρέου να ιδρύσει νέο κόμμα, οι πολίτες απαντούν θετικά και μάλλον θετικά σε ποσοστό 9,1% και αρνητικά και μάλλον αρνητικά σε ποσοστό 87,7%.

Στην ερώτηση αυτή, οι ψηφοφόροι του ΠΑΣΟΚ απαντούν θετικά και μάλλον θετικά σε ποσοστό 19,6% και αρνητικά και μάλλον αρνητικά σε ποσοστό 79,3%.

Το Κίνημα Δημοκρατικών Σοσιαλιστών φαίνεται πως αντλεί το μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό ψηφοφόρων από το ΠΑΣΟΚ (12,3%), ενώ προς το κόμμα Παπανδρέου εμφανίζονται να μετακινούνται 4,2% των ψηφοφόρων του Ποταμιού και 1,5% των ψηφοφόρων του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ.

ALCO: Στο 3,3% η «ψαλίδα»

Προβάδισμα 3,3 ποσοστιαίων μονάδων του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ έναντι της Νέας Δημοκρατίας καταγράφει δημοσκόπηση της ALCO, που δημοσιεύεται την Πέμπτη, στην εφημερίδα Το Ποντίκι.

Στην έρευνα που πραγματοποιήθηκε το διάστημα 4-6 Ιανουαρίου η εικόνα της πρόθεσης ψήφου έχει ως εξής: ΝΔ 28,6%, ΣΥΡΙΖΑ 31,6%, Ποτάμι 4,2%, Χρυσή Αυγή 4,1%, ΚΚΕ 3,8%, ΠΑΣΟΚ 3,6%, Κίνημα Δημοκρατών Σοσιαλιστών 2,5%, ΑΝΕΛ 2,2% άλλο κόμμα το 3,2% και οι αναποφάσιστοι στο 9,7%.

Με αναγωγή στα έγκυρα, η δύναμη των κομμάτων διαμορφώνεται, σύμφωνα με τη δημοσκόπηση, ως εξής: ΝΔ 30,5%, ΣΥΡΙΖΑ 33,8%, Ποτάμι 4,5%, Χρυσή Αυγή 4,4%, ΚΚΕ 4,1%, ΠΑΣΟΚ 3,9%, Κίνημα Δημοκρατών Σοσιαλιστών 2,7%, ΑΝΕΛ 2,4%, άλλο κόμμα το 3,4% και οι αναποφάσιστοι στο 10,3%.

Στην παράσταση νίκης ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ προηγείται με 59% έναντι 20% της ΝΔ.

Pulse: Στο 3,5% το προβάδισμα

Δημοσκόπηση της Pulse για το Action24 καταγράφει προβάδισμα του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ έναντι της ΝΔ με διαφορά 3,5% στην εκτίμηση ψήφου, έναντι 4% που κατέγραφε η προηγούμενη έρευνα της ίδιας εταιρείας που δημοσιοποιήθηκε στις 21 Δεκεμβρίου 2014.

Συγκεκριμένα, στην πρόθεση ψήφου εθνικών εκλογών με αναγωγή επί των εγκύρων, ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ λαμβάνει 30,5% και η ΝΔ 27%. Την τρίτη θέση μοιράζονται το ΠΑΣΟΚ-Δημοκρατική Παράταξη, το Ποτάμι και η Χρυσή Αυγή με 6%. Ακολουθεί το ΚΚΕ με 5,5%, οι ΑΝΕΛ με 3% και το νεοσύστατο κόμμα Κίνημα Δημοκρατών Σοσιαλιστών του Γιώργου Παπανδρέου με 2,5%.

Ο Αντώνης Σαμαράς εξακολουθεί να προηγείται ως καταλληλότερος πρωθυπουργός με 36% έναντι 30% του Αλέξη Τσίπρα. Στην παράσταση νίκης, ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ παίρνει 61%, έναντι 29% της ΝΔ.

INTERVIEW: Στο 2% η διαφορά

Στο 2% μειώνεται η διαφορά ΣΥΡΙΖΑ-ΝΔ ενώ το Κίνημα Δημοκρατών Σοσιαλιστών αγγίζει το 2,1% σύμφωνα με τη νέα πανελλαδική δημοσκόπηση εταιρείας INTERVIEW για την «ΒΕΡΓΙΝΑ TV», που διενεργήθηκε στις 5 και 6 Ιανουαρίου 2015.

Στην ερώτηση, εάν την επόμενη Κυριακή είχαμε εκλογές, οι ερωτηθέντες απάντησαν: ΣΥΡΙΖΑ 27,1%, ΝΔ 25,1%, Ποτάμι 6,3%, Χρυσή Αυγή 5,7%, ΚΚΕ 4,6%, ΠΑΣΟΚ 3,6%, Κίνημα Δημοκρατών Σοσιαλιστών 2,1%, ΑΝΕΛ 1,7%, ΔΗΜΑΡ 0,2%, άλλο κόμμα 6%, αναποφάσιστοι εμφανίστηκαν το 10%, ενώ άκυρο/λευκό ανέφεραν το 7,6%.

Ο κιβωτόσχημος τάφος όπου βρέθηκε ο σκελετός της Αμφίπολης

Έως τις 20 Ιανουαρίου θα δημοσιοποιηθούν τα αποτελέσματα των πρώτων αναλύσεων για το σκελετό που βρέθηκε στον τύμβο της Αμφίπολης.

Όπως ανακοίνωσε η γενική γραμματέας του υπουργείου Πολιτισμού, Λίνα Μενδώνη, θα δοθούν τα στοιχεία που προέκυψαν από τη μακροσκοπική μελέτη του οστεολογικού υλικού καθώς και πληροφορίες για το γεωφυσικό «σκανάρισμα» του λόφου.

Στην πρώτη συνεδρίαση του Κεντρικού Αρχαιολογικού Συμβουλίου για το 2015, η κ.Μενδώνη επισήμανε ότι η ημερομηνία των ανακοινώσεων είχε προαναγγελθεί πολύ πριν την προκήρυξη των εκλογών.

Η μελέτη των επιστημόνων μπορεί να απαντήσει σε πολλά ερωτήματα σχετικά με το νεκρό, όπως το φύλο και η ηλικία. Με γενετικές αναλύσεις  μπορούν να αποκαλυφθούν και πληροφορίες για την αιτία θανάτου, τον τρόπο ζωής και τις ασθένειες που πιθανόν να είχε περάσει.

Ο σκελετός βρέθηκε στα μέσα του περασμένου Νοεμβρίου και σύμφωνα με τις εκτιμήσεις των αρχαιολόγων ανήκει σε άνδρα.

Εντοπίστηκε από τους αρχαιολόγους κάτω από το διαταραγμένο δάπεδο του τρίτου θαλάμου, σε βάθος 1,6 μέτρων και σε κιβωτιόσχημο τάφο από πωρόλιθο στο εσωτερικό του οποίου είχε τοποθετηθεί  ξύλινο φέρετρο.

Olympiakos announced on Wednesday the hiring of Portuguese manager Vitor Pereira, while his predecessor, Michel Gonzalez, issued a touching farewell 24 hours after surprisingly being shown the door.

Vitor Pereira made his name at Porto where he won two consecutive league titles in Portugal, but his flirting eith a Premiership job (at Everton, Newcastle United or Crystal Palace) never turned into marriage.

He is said to have agreed to a two-and-a-half-year contract with Olympiakos.

Michel, who took the Olympiakos helm in February 2013 and won two league titles and the 2013 Greek Cup, got sacked on Tuesday after being criticized for the team’s style of play this season and its failure to progress from the group stage of the Champions League.

“After leaving the training ground for the last time and saying goodbye to my players and employees of the club who for the last two years made me feel at home, I was unable to hold back some tears; I will miss you,» the 51-year-old Spaniard said in an open letter published on the Olympiakos website.

He added: «Soccer rarely notifies you early enough when you come and when you leave. I am leaving for my home, but a part of me will stay here. I was very happy here and I’ll take great memories with me.

“I leave impressed by the size of this club, the wonderful city of Athens, and from this country that embraced me and made me feel part of it. Also, I will never forget those nights at the Karaiskaki stadium and the unbelievable passion of the fans; my legs still shake when I think about their songs.”

Michel had penned a contract until June 2015, but despite his success – the team also reached the Champions League round of 16 last season – Greek media said Olympiakos owner Vangelis Marinakis was unhappy with the team’s failure to play attractive soccer in the Super League. Olympiakos trails leader PAOK by one point after 16 matches.

The German government is not planning for a Greek exit from the eurozone, Chancellor Angela Merkel’s spokesman said on Wednesday, after Germany’s Bild newspaper reported Berlin was working on contingency plans for an exit and possible run on banks.

Asked about the report spokesman Steffen Seibert said, “I don’t know of any such plans, and certainly the political leadership in the chancellery is not looking at such scenarios.”

A spokesman for the finance ministry echoed Seibert’s remarks. Seibert reiterated that there had been no change in the German government’s policy on Greece.

Αναμένεται το πόρισμα των ιατροδικαστικών ερευνών και της αυτοψίας.

Ένα 12χρονο αγόρι έχασε τη ζωή του στο Alice Springs και, σύμφωνα με τα λεγόμενα της τοπικής Αστυνομίας, αυτό συνέβη όταν εισέπνευσε αποσμητικό

Το αγόρι βρέθηκε σε κωματώδη κατάσταση στο κατάστημα Coles της περιοχής το βράδυ του περασμένου Σαββάτου.

Η Αστυνομία, μετά τις πρώτες βοήθειες που επιχειρήθηκε να παρασχεθούν στο αγόρι, πιστεύει ότι είχε ήδη εισπνεύσει μερικά κουτιά αποσμητικού, στην τοποθεσία Billy Goat Hill, μια περιοχή στο κέντρο της πόλης που συγκεντρώνει άτομα νεαρής ηλικίας που «σνιφάρουν» διάφορες ουσίες.

Ο αξιωματικός της τοπικής Αστυνομίας Bob Harrison, είπε ότι «λάβαμε πληροφορίες από ένα σεκιούριτι ότι είδαν περίπου οκτώ νεαρά άτομα να εισπνέουν ουσίες στην περιοχή».

Ο ίδιος είπε ότι δεν έχει δει προηγουμένως θάνατο από αυτή τη δραστηριότητα και ότι κάτι τέτοιο θεωρείται σπάνιο. Επίσης, είπε ότι αναμένεται το πόρισμα των ιατροδικαστικών ερευνών και της αυτοψίας.

Η Αστυνομία μίλησε, επίσης, με αυτόπτες μάρτυρες στην προσπάθειά της να συλλέξει όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερα στοιχεία για τις συνθήκες θανάτου του 12χρονου.

18 year-old Matthew Papadimitriou from Rowville found the holy cross in Rye, Victoria.

True to tradition, the Greek Orthodox Community of Australia celebrated the baptism of Jesus Christ by John the Baptist, with events held in all the major Australian cities. The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia organised services for the commemoration of the Epiphany in Mentone, Frankston and Geelong, in Victoria.

More than 5000 members of the parish gathered outside the Panagia Kamariani church in Red Hill to attend the liturgy given by Father Eleftherios Tatsis, with swimmers making their way to neighbouring Rye, where a young girl made history by becoming the first female to dive for the cross in Australia. Thirteen year-old Emily Paxevanou was amongst 20 young male counterparts.

The eventual winner, eighteen year-old Matthew Papadimitriou from Rowville in Melbourne’s east, caught the cross in Rye, while Nickolaos Alesios found it in Geelong. Adam Kaoulas was the lucky swimmer who got to it first in Frankston and Gregory Kakavas took the dive of success in Mentone.

Prior to the dive in Frankston, his grace Bishop Iokovos of Miletoupolis, assisted by Father D. Georgalas, held a holy service to further commemorate the day, at the new Holy Epiphany Church, which is the only church in Australia devoted to Theophaneia.

The Parish from the church of Pammegiston Taxiarhon, decided to perform the liturgy at Parkdale beach, while Father Chrisostomos Polyzoidis on the other hand, who moved to Australia recently from Northern Greece, enthusiastically blessed the waters of Mentone, during summer, something previously foreign to him.

The Greek Orthodox Parish of the areas had also organized all day events, with music and dancing till late in the afternoon. Souvlakia, sausages, Greek sweets, ice-creams, coffee, tea and cold drinks were all on offer by the Archdiocese.

In Victoria, the main celebrations will take place on Sunday January 11 in a combined celebration by all Parishes in Melbourne, celebrated by Their Graces Bishop Ezekiel of Dervis and Bishop Iakovos of Miletoupolis together with all remaining Clergy of Melbourne.

The celebration has moved from Station Pier- where it was held for many years- to Princes Pier in Port Melbourne (just 400m West of its traditional setting). The liturgy will commence at 1:00 pm, followed by music, dancing and activities for children until late in the afternoon. Food and drink will be available at the Pier together with a variety of other stalls.

Parking will be free around the area, though there is a limited number of spaces. Buses will be provided by Gemini Tours, leaving from Victoria Avenue, Albert Park at 11.30 am.

David Cameron and Angela Merkel

Angela Merkel on Wednesday refused to endorse the UK prime minister’s demand for European treaty change, offering only limited support for his bid to renegotiate Britain’s relationship with the EU.

The German chancellor repeated her assurance that she wanted to help David Cameron keep Britain in the bloc — he has promised to hold an in-out referendum on UK membership in 2017 — telling a Downing Street press conference: “Where there’s a will there’s a way.”

But on the crucial question of whether Berlin would support Mr Cameron’s bid to change EU treaties, a move that could trigger political tension across Europe, Ms Merkel simply ignored the question.

The German chancellor was also evasive when asked if Germany would back Mr Cameron’s proposal to stop paying child benefit to migrant workers if their children live in their home country.

German diplomats say Ms Merkel’s patience with Britain’s demands is limited — not least because she is having to deal with a renewed Greek crisis in the eurozone.

Berlin has also indicated that Ms Merkel sees no need to commit herself to backing Mr Cameron’s negotiating position now, partly because she is unsure exactly what he wants and partly because he could be out of office in a few months.

Strains in the relationship were exposed in November ahead of a long-awaited speech by Mr Cameron on Europe and immigration, in which the prime minister had floated the idea of imposing caps on migration.

The prime minister dropped the idea at the last moment after Ms Merkel’s office made it clear she would not support any British change that infringed on the EU’s principle of free movement.

On a day of diplomacy overshadowed by a terrorist attack in Paris, Mr Cameron attempted to improve relations — initially by joining Ms Merkel on a visit to the British Museum’s Germany exhibition.

Later at their joint press conference, Mr Cameron sounded an unusually positive note on Britain’s EU membership, asserting: “I don’t think the right answer is for Britain to leave.”

He said that he wanted to reform rules on the benefits paid to EU migrants and other changes that were “sensible and practical”; he believes some of those reforms will require treaty change.

He also said that none of his proposals would “break the principle of free movement” — confirmation that Mr Cameron recognises he would run into a brick wall in Germany if he tried to rewrite one of the EU’s founding ideals.

Ms Merkel suggested that changes to rules on benefits could be achieved without a wholesale rewriting of treaties.

Ms Merkel would in principle like a treaty to improve the governance of the eurozone — a text Mr Cameron wants to adapt to incorporate UK demands — but she recognises that few if any other eurozone states support the idea.

That could complicate Mr Cameron’s negotiating position if he wins the UK general election in May; he wants treaty change to reform benefit rules, to exclude Britain from the “ever-closer union” provisions of the EU and to give national parliaments more say over European law.

Meanwhile the prime minister was critical of those, including some in his own party, who have suggested Britain could flourish outside the EU like Norway or Switzerland, saying their views were “often very contradictory”.

Ms Merkel’s non-committal appearance on Wednesday was nevertheless welcomed by Tory officials as supportive, including her remark: “I very much like having the UK in a strong and successful EU.”

Her comments were not just flattery: Ms Merkel regards Britain as an important ally in achieving some EU reforms, including reducing “red tape” and pushing for free trade deals — including with the US.

The visit to London was primarily to discuss the agenda for the G7 in 2015; Ms Merkel is chairing the grouping and will host a meeting in Bavaria in June.
