THERE was more penalty drama on the second night of the FFA Cup’s round of 32, with Tuggeranong United, from Canberra, travelling to South Hobart and escaping after a thrilling shootout.
Four A-League outfits joined the nationwide knockout comp on Tuesday night, with Perth Glory recruit Andy Keogh doing the damage with a brace to inflict a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle Jets at Magic Park in Newcastle, while Adelaide United pipped Wellington Phoenix 1-0 at Marden Sports Complex in Adelaide.
St Albans Saints, from Victoria, travelled to Melita Stadium to take on Parramatta FC, and prevailed courtesy of Barry Devlin.
In Hobart, Nicholas Morton broke the deadlock in the 69th minute, before substitute Zachary Munster broke the hosts’ hearts with an equaliser five minutes from full-time.
The quartet join South Springvale, Olympic FC, Sydney Olympic and Brisbane Strikers in the draw for the round of 16.
The next set of fixtures takes place next Tuesday.
