Manuel Pellegrini’s side play their third ICC match with a victory needed after defeat to Liverpool on penalties last time out, with our tipster backing lots of goals
Manchester City play Olympiakos in Minneapolis as the ICC continues in America. Manuel Pellegrini’s side and Michel’s men have so far lost one match and won one match each. Both teams need victory to stay alive in the pre-season competition.
City lost last time out to Liverpool on penalties, after drawing the match 2-2 in 90 minutes. A late Raheem Sterling goal denied City victory, after Stevan Jovetic had netted two earlier goals. This result followed up a convincing display against AC Milan, which saw City net four times in the first 25 minutes to seal the win.
Olympiakos started the competition well, thrashing AC Milan 3-0 in a dominate display. However, like City, they also lost to Liverpool, with the Reds winning 1-0 in 90 minutes. Olympiakos caused issues for the red half of Manchester earlier this season, proving a real threat in the Champions League, beating United 2-0 in the first leg of their last 16 match. Despite losing the tie overall, Olympiakos looked very dangerous on the break.
Despite Olympiakos not scoring against Liverpool, Michel’s side did net three times against AC Milan. With City conceding in every single pre season match this summer, with this bet landing in four of their five games, it’s certainly worth backing goals.
