Surfer suffers serious leg injury in shark attack at Bombo Beach in Kiama

A man has suffered a severe leg injury in a shark attack in Kiama, on NSW’s south coast.

The 22-year-old man was surfing at Bombo Beach when he was attacked about 100m off shore just after 7pm tonight.

He was brought to shore by a friend and treated by paramedics on the beach for leg and hand injuries.

A rescue helicopter was summoned and the man was taken to St George Hospital in a serious condition.
