Το ντέρμπι που θα γίνει την Τετάρτη (20:30) ανάμεσα στον ΠΑΟΚ και την ΑΕΚ, ξεχωρίζει από το πρόγραμμα της 4ης -εμβόλιμης λόγω εκλογών- αγωνιστικής της Super League, που διεξάγεται την Τρίτη και την Τετάρτη.

Οι παίκτες του Ιγκορ Τούντορ θα επιδιώξουν να πάρουν την νίκη, προκειμένου να βελτιώσουν την θέση τους στην βαθμολογία, ενώ από την πλευρά της η Ένωση θα παίξει για δύο αποτελέσματα, έτσι ώστε να παραμείνει στην πρώτη τριάδα της κατάταξης.

Παράλληλα, ο πρωτοπόρος και χωρίς βαθμολογική απώλεια, Ολυμπιακός, είναι το λογικό φαβορί στην έδρα της Ξάνθης, όπως και ο Παναθηναϊκός που υποδέχεται τον Λεβαδειακό.

Στο ντέρμπι ουραγών, ο Πανθρακικός με τον Δημήτρη Ελευθερόπουλο στον πάγκο θα φιλοξενήσει την Καλλονή, με τον νικητή να «παίρνει βαθμολογική ανάσα», ενώ ο Ατρόμητος έχει δύσκολη αποστολή στα Ιωάννινα με αντίπαλο τον ΠΑΣ.

Τέλος, ο Αστέρας Τρίπολης έχει θεωρητικό προβάδισμα υποδεχόμενος τον Πανιώνιο, ενώ χωρίς ξεκάθαρο φαβορί, θα γίνουν οι αναμετρήσεις Παναιτωλικός-Βέροια και Πλατανιάς-Ηρακλής.

Γιώργος Κατσάκης του “Μέγα”: “Ζω ένα ποδοσφαιρικό όνειρο”

Η ποδοσφαιρική “βόμβα” των τελευταίων ετών “εξεράγει” και έχει όνομα Ε λ λ η ν ι κ ό και χρώμα “κ ι τ ρ ι ν ό μ α υ ρ ο”!

Ο διεθνής μέσος Κώστας Κατσουράνης, θα… προσγειωθεί στην Μελβούρνη στις αρχές της επόμενης εβδομάδας και στις 29 του μήνα, θα ηγηθεί της ομάδας του ΜΕΓΑ, στο νοκ άουτ παιχνίδι με την Μέλμπουρν Σίτι, στο πλαίσιο της φάσης των “8” του Κυπέλλου της Ομοσπονδίας.

Η είδηση του ερχομού του αρχηγού της εθνικής ομάδας της Ελλάδας δημοσιοποιήθηκε προχθές το βράδυ και αμέσως έκανε το γύρο του κόσμου, μέσω ελληνικών και αυστραλιανών ΜΜΕ!

Ο έμπειρος και καταξιωμένος μέσος των 485 αγώνων και των 85 γκολ, με Παναθηναϊκό, Μπενφίκα, ΠΑΟΚ, ΑΕΚ και την εθνική ομάδα, θα φορέσει μόνον για έναν αγώνα την φανέλα του Μέγα.

Στον αγώνα με τους “ουρανί” της Μέλμπουρν Σίτι το βράδυ της 29ης Σεπτεμβρίου στην “Τούμπα” και ο τεχνικός της “κιτρινόμαυρης” ομάδας Γιώργος Κατσάκης δεν κρύβει την χαρά και τον ενθουσιασμό του.

Τού μίλησα προχθές το βράδυ και στην κυριολεξία “πετούσε” στα σύννεφα:

“Είναι σπουδαίο γεγονός το ότι ένας παίκτης της αξίας του Κώστα Κατσουράνη, έρχεται στην Αυστραλία και θα φορέσει την φανέλα της ομάδας μας. Πρέπει να τον αγκαλιάσουμε όλοι, να γεμίσουμε το Ολύμπικ Βίλιτζ και να του πούμε ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ για όσα έχει κάνει για το ελληνικό ποδόσφαιρο” ήταν τα λόγια του Γιώργου Κατσάκη.

Ο τεχνικός του Μέγα έκανε δηλώσεις και σε πολλά ελληνικά ΜΜΕ και ξεχωρίζω όσα δήλωσε στο sport-fm.gr: “Όλοι εδώ στην ομάδα είναι εκστασιασμένοι από τη συγκεκριμένη είδηση. Κανείς δεν μπορεί να πιστέψει ότι τα καταφέραμε. Και εγώ όμως είμαι ενθουσιασμένος που θα συνεργαστώ με έναν παίκτη του επιπέδου του, που θα κάνει πιο γνωστή την ομάδα μας και πιο πολύ εμένα” δήλωσε στον Σταύρο Καλογεράκη του sport-fm.gr, ο Γιώργος Κατσάκης.

Ο ερχομός του Κατσουράνη ήταν “έκτακτη” πρώτη είδηση σε όλα σχεδόν τα αγγλόφωνα ΜΜΕ το βράδυ της Τρίτης, με αναλυτικές αναφορές στον 36χρονο σούπερ σταρ, που τον περασμένο χρόνο, σαν αρχηγός οδήγησε την εθνική μας σε λαμπρές επιτυχίες στο Μουντιάλ της Βραζιλίας.

THE Newcastle Jets ground their way to a 1-0 pre-season victory over the Central Coast Mariners at Wade Park in Orange on Sunday.

Both sides had several chances to score, but the winner came in the 52nd minute when Jets defender Jason Hoffman, an off-season recruit from Melbourne City, leapt high above the Mariners’ defence to head the ball in after a corner.

At the other end, Jets keeper Mark Birighitti was in great form.

He pulled off a number of stunning saves, including blocking a Fabio Ferriera thunderbolt in the 28th minute.

‘‘He’s been very good for us,’’ Newcastle midfielder Ben Kantarovski said of Birighitti, who has returned to the club after being out on loan to Italian club Verese.

‘‘He’s worked hard and so has the rest of the team.

‘‘From the back to the front, we’ve worked hard on making sure we’re strong defensively and well disciplined and well organised.’’

Kantarovski said any win over Central Coast was a good one, especially as the club looks to rebound after a horrid 2014-15.

‘‘It’s good to get one up, especially in a derby,’’ he said. ‘‘It was a good hit-out and we’ll use that heading into the season proper.’’
Central Coast coach Tony Walmsley was left to rue several chances which went begging, including one in the fifth minute.

Pouncing on a poor Jets defensive play, Roy O’Donovan then beat Birighitti one-one-one before firing off a shot that hit the woodwork and deflected wide.

‘‘We’re disappointed we didn’t play as well as we anticipated we would,’’ Walmsley said.

‘‘I think the conditions played a part. We came here to be inventive and try and score goals, we couldn’t really get going but you could see the intent was there.’’

The Jets were denied on several occasions before a crowd of 2124.

Mariners keeper Paul Izzo produced a full-stretch diving save on a clever chip from Jets Serbian midfielder Enver Alivodic.

As time drew to a close, a deft cross from Anthony Caceres found the head of Jake Adelson, but Birighitti pulled off his last and most crucial stop.

Ανεβάζει στροφές σιγά σιγά η Γιουβέντους, η οποία μετά το κακό ξεκίνημα στη σεζόν, πήρε «διπλό» στο «Έτιχαντ» απέναντι στη Σίτι πανηγύρισε νέα εκτός έδρας νίκη στην έδρα της Τζένοα με 2-0.

Σκόρερ για τους «μπιανκονέρι» ήταν ο Πογκμπά και ο Λαμάνα με αυτογκόλ. Επίσης οι γηπεδούχοι έπαιξαν για ένα ημίχρονο με παίκτη λιγότερο, λόγω της αποβολής του Ίζο στο 44′.

Το 4×4 πέτυχε η Ίντερ στο Campionato και έτσι όχι μόνο παρέμεινε πρωτοπόρος, αλλά διεύρυνε και τη διαφορά απέναντι στη δεύτερη Κιέβο. Ο Μάουρο Ικάρντι «βρήκε δίχτυα» στο 42’ έστω και… κόντρα στη ροή του αγώνα και το τέρμα αυτό αποδείχτηκε αρκετό για τους «νερατζούρι» προκειμένου να πανηγυρίσουν το «διπλό» στη Βερόνα, στο πλαίσιο της 4ης αγωνιστικής.

Από την πλευρά της, η Κιέβο πίεσε, αλλά δεν δημιούργησε ευκαιρίες και έτσι το 32ο τέρμα του Ικάρντι σε συνολικά 61 ματς με τη φανέλα των Μιλανέζων (ο Σαμουέλ Ετό είχε 33 σε 67 ματς), χάρισε το τρίποντο στην ομάδα του Ρομπέρτο Μαντσίνι.

Ακόμα ένα ξέσπασμα για τη Νάπολι, αφού μετά την «5άρα» στη Μπριζ… φιλοδώρησε με 5 γκολ και τη Λάτσιο και έδειξε να συνέρχεται κάπως από το πολύ κακό ξεκίνημα της στο πρωτάθλημα, πανηγυρίζοντας παράλληλα την πρώτη της νίκη τη φετινή σεζόν. Τα γκολ σημείωσαν οι Ιγκουαΐν, Άλαν, Ινσίνιε και Γκαμπιαντίνι.

Την πρώτη εκτός έδρας νίκη της πανηγύρισε η Φιορεντίνα, όπου με γκολ του Μπουμπακάρ στο 35ο λεπτό επικράτησε με 1-0 της Κάπρι.

Ένα εύκολο βράδυ είχε η Μπαρτσελόνα, η οποία επικράτησε με 4-1 της Λεβάντε, διατηρώντας έτσι το αήττητο σε 4 αγωνιστικές στο ισπανικό πρωτάθλημα.

Οι «μπλαουγκράνα» σκόραραν όλα τα γκολ του στο δεύτερο ημίχρονο, με τον Μέσι να πετυχαίνει 2 από αυτά και να χάνει πέναλτι. Τα υπόλοιπα δύο τα πέτυχαν Μπαρτρά και Νεϊμάρ, ενώ ο Κασαντέσους πέτυχε το μοναδικό τέρμα για τους ηττημένους.

Η κατρακύλα της Σεβίλης εντός συνόρων συνεχίστηκε και στην 4η αγωνιστική της Primera Division και μάλιστα με εντός έδρας ήττα από τη Θέλτα με 2-1. Η ομάδα του Εδουάρδο Μπερίσο «άλωσε» το «Σάντσεθ Πιθχουάν» σπρώχνοντας ακόμη περισσότερο τους Ανδαλουσιανούς προς τον «πυθμένα» της βαθμολογίας.

Η εξαιρετική Θέλτα κατάφερε πετύχει δυο γκολ μέσα σε μόλις 11 λεπτά, αφού αρχικά ο Νολίτο στο 15′ άνοιξε το σκορ και στο 26’ ο Ντάνιελ Βας έγραψε το 0-2.

Στην επανάληψη, οι γηπεδούχοι προσπάθησαν να αντιδράσουν και μείωσαν με τον Φερνάντο Γιορέντε στο 56′, ωστόσο οι Γαλιθιανοί κράτησαν τη νίκη, ακόμα και μετά την αποβολή του Κάστρο στο 91′.

Ετσι, μπορεί πριν από τέσσερις ημέρες η Σεβίλη να σημείωσε ένα ευρωπαϊκό θρίαμβο κόντρα στη Γκλάντμπαχ για το Champions League, ωστόσο, στην Ισπανία παραμένει χωρίς νίκη.

Επιτέλους νίκη για τη Σπόρτινγκ Χιχόν, η οποία μετά από στην 4η αγωνιστική κατάφερε να πάρει την πρώτη την νίκη και μάλιστα στην έδρα της Ντεπορτίβο ΛαΚορούνια με 3-2.

Η Ισπανία επέστρεψε στην κορυφή της Ευρώπης μετά το 2011, όταν είχε πανηγυρίσει «back to back» τίτλους σε Ευρωμπάσκετ (2009, 2011).

Με κεκτημένη ταχύτητα από το θρίαμβο επί των διοργανωτών Γάλλων στους «4» της διοργάνωσης, οι «φούριας ρόχας» επικράτησαν στον αποψινό τελικό με 80-63 των Λιθουανών και κατέκτησαν το τρίτο χρυσό μετάλλιο της Ιστορίας τους σε Ευρωμπάσκετ, όλα υπό τις οδηγίες του Σέρτζιο Σκαριόλο.

Στον αντίποδα, η ομάδα του Γιόνας Καζλάουσκας «αποχαιρετά» τη Λιλ «ασημένια», όπως το 2013.

Ο καταπληκτικός Πάου Γκασόλ σε συνδυασμό με την αστοχία των Λιθουανών έστειλαν τη «φούρια ρόχα» στο ψηλότερο σκαλί του βάθρου, με τον 35χρονο φόργουορντ/σέντερ να είναι και πάλι ο κορυφαίος της ομάδας του και να ξεπερνά τον Νίκο Γκάλη στη λίστα των κορυφαίων σκόρερ στην ιστορία των Eυρωμπάσκετ.

Οι Λιθουανοί προσπάθησαν και όποτε οι Ισπανοί χαλάρωναν, η διαφορά έπεφτε μέχρι και τους 12 (66-54) αλλά όχι παρακάτω. Ετσι η ομάδα του Σκαριόλο έφτασε στο τρίτο χρυσό.

Νέο ρεκόρ προσέλευσης

Οι 27.323 θεατές που παρακολούθησαν τον τελικό Ισπανία-Λιθουανία, στο Stade Pierre Mauroy της Λιλ, αποτελεί το νέο ρεκόρ προσέλευσης σε Ευρωπαϊκό Πρωτάθλημα μπάσκετ.

Τέσσερις φορές καταρρίφθηκε το συγκεκριμένο ρεκόρ σε αυτό το Ευρωμπάσκετ, το οποίο ανέδειξε νέα πρωταθλήτρια Ευρώπης την Ισπανία.

Liverpool’s stuttering start to the Barclays Premier League season continued when Russell Martin cancelled out Danny Ings’ first goal for his new club to salvage a 1-1 draw for Norwich City at Anfield on Sunday.

Ings made an almost instant impact as a half-time substitute, breaking the deadlock early in the second period, but Liverpool failed to build on that lead and Martin equalised to secure a point.

Liverpool, who had Daniel Sturridge back in the team for the first time since April, controlled the first half without looking completely convincing in front of goal. But Ings, who replaced the injured Christian Benteke at half-time, took only two minutes to make an impact, providing a tidy finish with his left foot from a narrow angle.

Liverpool’s jubilation was short-lived, though, as Martin took full advantage of sloppy goalkeeping from Simon Mignolet to restore parity with his third goal of the season.

Liverpool should have taken all three points late on when Philippe Coutinho missed a one-on-one opportunity but Norwich held firm in the face of intense pressure to clinch a commendable point.

Reds manager Rodgers was given the boost of having Coutinho and Sturridge back in the team as he made four changes from the side which lost to Manchester United last weekend and both looked lively early on.

Sturridge played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s first opportunity of the game 18 minutes in, driving into the area and teeing up James Milner on the edge of the area, only for the eventual effort to be blocked by Robbie Brady.

Although Norwich looked a threat going forward, particularly through Nathan Redmond and Matt Jarvis out wide, Liverpool were in charge of possession. Nevertheless, Liverpool’s final pass continued to let them down and long-range efforts were relied upon, as Nathaniel Clyne fired just wide from 25 yards after half an hour.

Liverpool began to increase the pressure shortly after, though, and Sturridge wasted a fine chance, firing straight at John Ruddy from 12 yards, before Milner tested the goalkeeper with a powerful volley from outside the box in the 42nd minute.

Benteke was forced off at the break with a knock but the change provided the spark Liverpool needed, as Ings latched on to Alberto Moreno’s lofted pass and coolly fired between Ruddy’s legs just two minutes after coming on.

Liverpool failed to add to their lead, however, and Norwich eventually hit back just after the hour mark – Martin making the most of a Mignolet mistake from a corner to neatly lob the ball over the Belgian and equalise.

Further chances fell to both sides in the following exchanges but Mignolet denied Brady a certain goal from point-blank range, before Ruddy palmed a Moreno drive over.

Norwich were forced to withstand great pressure towards the end and remained level when Coutinho could not beat Ruddy when clean through 12 minutes from time and Ings almost got a shot away after dribbling past several challenges a few moments later.

The visitors ultimately stuck to their task well and kept Liverpool at bay though Rodgers’ side will no doubt see it as a missed opportunity to return to winning ways.

Manchester City were beaten for the first time in the league this season as West Ham United collected another big Barclays Premier League scalp with a stunning 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.

Slaven Bilic’s team returned with three-point hauls from their opening two away matches at Arsenal and Liverpool and continued a remarkable run on their travels by halting City’s 100% record in the league.

Victor Moses netted a sublime early opener and Diafra Sakho doubled the lead, as he did when West Ham beat the same opponents at the Boleyn Ground, last season.

Kevin De Bruyne marked his first start for City since his record signing with a fine finish on the stroke of half-time but there was no further way through for Manuel Pellegrini’s men as West Ham goalkeeper Adrian and desperate defending repelled persistent second-half pressure. The victory moves West Ham up to second, three points behind their beaten opponents at the top.

Nicolas Otamendi made his full City debut alongside De Bruyne, while an injury to David Silva in the warm-up meant Jesus Navas was restored to the starting XI.

Adrian returned from suspension in goal as one of three changes for West Ham, with Pedro Obiang and Carl Jenkinson replacing Cheikhou Kouyate and Angelo Ogbonna.

The visiting keeper was forced into early action as Fernandinho met De Bruyne’s right-wing corner with a powerful header but West Ham stunned the Etihad Stadium by taking a sixth-minute lead. Dimitri Payet fed Moses who advanced before unleashing a brilliant low drive into Joe Hart’s bottom-left corner from 25 yards.

That was the first BPL goal City had conceded for 572 minutes and were almost gifted an instant response, Aaron Cresswell’s header catching out Adrian, who had strayed from his area, but Sergio Aguero was unable to finish.

West Ham were not content to sit on their lead and it was 2-0 in the 31st minute, the hosts defending sluggishly as Obiang met a corner and Sakho scrambled in.

City might have entered the dressing room in further disarray but for a last-ditch challenge from Eliaquim Mangala which denied Sakho and they reduced the arrears in first-half stoppage time.

Aguero, who endured a frustrating 45 minutes in front of goal, set up De Bruyne to send a crisp, low strike beyond Adrian from the edge of the box.

Pellegrini made a defensive switch at the interval, with Martin Demichelis replacing Mangala, and Yaya Toure fired an early second-half warning in West Ham’s direction by fizzing an angled shot narrowly wide.

Adrian reacted superbly as Winston Reid almost turned a Navas cross into his own net before Toure had a venomous strike blocked and a bustling run into the box curtailed by the goalkeeper.

Diego Costa proved the decisive figure as Chelsea won 2-0 against an Arsenal side who finished the incident-fuelled contest with nine men at Stamford Bridge.

The Spain striker was at the centre of an exchange which eventually resulted in a red card for Arsenal defender Gabriel late in the first half with Santi Cazorla also seeing red in the second period as the visitors lost control.

Kurt Zouma headed Jose Mourinho’s men into the lead after 53 minutes and a late, deflected effort from Eden Hazard secured a win for Chelsea in stoppage time.

On the stroke of half-time Gabriel was drawn into an off-the-ball row with Costa, who had first tangled with Laurent Koscielny, and received an initial booking from referee Mike Dean. The referee then showed the Brazilian a red card, indicating it was for treading on Costa before play had resumed.

It took the champions just eight second-half minutes to make the most of their man advantage. The unmarked Zouma nodded in a Cesc Fabregas free-kick past Petr Cech on the goalkeeper’s Stamford Bridge return.

Chelsea found their feet after the opener and rarely looked like relinquishing their lead, with Cazorla’s second yellow card for a foul on Fabregas effectively ending the Gunners’ hopes of ending their four-year quest for a win at the home of the west Londoners. Hazard’s goal merely rubbed salt into Arsenal’s wound and summed up the visitors’ luckless afternoon.

Fabregas had Chelsea’s first effort on target with the opening 15 minutes largely belonging to the visitors, who were unchanged from their 2-0 win over Stoke City.

Mourinho’s men eventually grew into the match as Costa tested Cech with a strike prior to the half-hour mark.

Ghosting in at the far post, he gained the crucial touch on Fabregas’ delivery to register his first Barclays Premier League goal for the club.

The hosts’ pressure continued as Hazard’s fierce effort was beaten away by Cech, with the former Chelsea goalkeeper then watching on as the Belgian dragged a shot wide after the hour.

Costa remained in the thick of things, seeing a penalty appeal turned away after a challenge from Nacho Monreal, with Cazorla shown a second yellow for a rash challenge on Fabregas 11 minutes from time before Hazard sealed the points.

Hazard’s strike took a heavy deflection off Chambers and diverted past a helpless Cech to cap another frustrating visit to west London for Wenger.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho: “Normally the best team wins and we were best. We were dominant, in control and, let’s not be hypocrites, to play with one more is easier but for me we were very comfortable in the first half.

“I played first the first derby in September 2000 and I remember my words, ‘To win a derby needs emotional control.’ I have played derbies in Spain, Italy, England and I always repeat the same words, ‘To win derbies takes emotional control.’ ”
